If you’ve ever dreamed of stepping into a Pixar movie, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure in EPCOT’s France Pavilion is your chance to live that dream!
Inspired by the beloved film Ratatouille, this 4D trackless dark ride shrinks guests down to rodent-sized proportions and invites them to scurry through Gusteau’s bustling Parisian kitchen alongside everyone’s favorite culinary rodent, Remy. From dodging mop buckets to narrowly avoiding being flambéed, every twist and turn is filled with charming chaos and immersive storytelling.
What to Expect at Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure
This family-friendly (but still a little intense) ride is part of the expansion of EPCOT’s France Pavilion and offers a whimsical, high-energy experience that doesn’t have a height requirement—making it perfect for little ones. You’ll wear 3D glasses and board your own adorable “rat mobile” as you zip through larger-than-life scenes enhanced by heat, water, and scent effects. Yes, you’ll actually smell the kitchen!

Ride History
Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure wasn’t cooked up overnight. In fact, the ride first opened in Disneyland Paris on July 10, 2014. It was a big hit with guests, blending a trackless ride system with 3D animation, oversized sets, and even scent effects to truly make you feel like you’ve been shrunk down to Remy’s size and dropped into the world of Ratatouille.
In 2017, Disney officially announced at the D23 Expo that Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure would be coming to the France Pavilion in EPCOT’s World Showcase. Construction began later that year, expanding the France Pavilion with a whole new Parisian alleyway, complete with charming facades, cobblestone streets, and even a new restaurant — La Crêperie de Paris.
Originally slated to open in 2020, the ride’s debut was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. But Disney fans didn’t have to wait too long. Remy finally made his U.S. debut on October 1, 2021, as part of Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary celebration — and EPCOT’s own 39th anniversary.
Virtual Queue or Lightning Lane?
Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure was originally available only via virtual queue when it debuted in 2021, but it’s now part of EPCOT’s regular standby line—and it’s also included with Genie+ for those looking to skip the wait. Lines can get long (very long), especially in the afternoon, so it’s a great first stop if you’re rope-dropping the park. (Pro tip – enter through the international gateway and make it your first stop.)
Quick Tip:
Don’t miss the miniature Gusteau’s sign glowing above the rooftops—sometimes, you’ll see the chef himself appear for a magical little nod to Remy’s journey.

Whether you’re a first-time rider or a returning fan, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure offers a unique perspective of EPCOT—literally. It’s proof that big things can come in very small (and squeaky) packages.
